You have selected the FELLOW membership level.
This is the highest and prestigious grade awarded by special Board resolution. The FIFEN grade is awarded to those who have demonstrated significant individual responsibility and exceptional contribution to the fire engineering profession over an extended period, not normally less than 15 years or/and must have been a Member (MIFEN) of the IFE for a minimum of five continuous years. Fellows of the IFE also benefit from esteemed professional recognition in the national fire sector using the post-nominal FIFEN.
In addition to the above, applicants for Fellow shall provide:
• Two completed Reference Statements from current FIFEN members or a Fire Service Chief/Director.
• A detailed curriculum vitae and biography – please also ensure that information is included on recent contribution to the IFEN in the last two years.
• At least 2 years of sufficient and relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Applicants are required to submit a CPD Log with their application.
• A Personal Statement not more than 1000 words using the below headings as a guide:
o Why you feel you should be approved as a Fellow of the IFE, Nigeria
o What you have contributed to the profession of fire engineering and/or IFE Nigeria during your time as a member. Include details of any volunteer work you carry out for any Fire or Safety Services organization.
o What you will contribute to the IFE Nigeria during your time as a Fellow of the Institution.
• A copy of a current organization chart which shows where you are placed within your organization.
The price for membership is ₦30,000.00 per Year.
