It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that we announce the passing of Engr. Sarki Jacob on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025. He was an Assistant General Manager of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS) and an esteemed Board Member of the Institute of Fire Engineers, Nigeria (IFEN).
Engr. Jacob was a dedicated professional, a mentor to many, and a pillar of excellence in the field of aviation fire safety. His unwavering commitment to duty, his leadership in emergency response, and his contributions to the advancement of fire engineering in Nigeria will be remembered with great admiration and gratitude.
His passing is a tremendous loss to the firefighting and aviation communities, and to all who had the privilege of working with him.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and friends during this difficult time. May his legacy of service, courage, and professionalism continue to inspire us all.
